Zoning Ordinances

    Chapter 35 of the County Code

    Article I (Sign Regulations), III (Inland Zoning Ordinance), IV (Montecito Zoning Ordinance) and V (Road Naming Ordinance) were repealed and replaced by Section 35-1 County Land Use Development Code and 35-2 Montecito Land Used Development Code of Chapter 35 on January 2, 2007.

    Article I - Sign Regulations: Guides and regulates signs in the unincorporated area of the county.

    Article III - Inland Zoning Ordinance: Implements the Comprehensive Plan by classifying and regulating the uses of land, buildings and structures in the unincorporated area of the county located outside of the coastal zone and the Montecito Planning Area.

    Article IV - Montecito Zoning Ordinance: Implements the Comprehensive Plan by classifying and regulating the uses of land, buildings and structures in those areas of Montecito located outside of the coastal zone.

    Article V - Road Naming Ordinance: Provides a road naming and address numbering plan to protect and promote the public health, safety and welfare in the unincorporated area of the county.
