Orcutt Union School District General Plan Amendment and Rezone (Key Site 17)
The request includes a Comprehensive Plan Amendment and Rezone to change the current land use designation from Residential 8.0
units /acre to Residential 20.0 units/acre and to change the zoning from Small Lot Planned (SLP) to Design Residential 20.0 units
per acre (DR-20). The application also includes a request to amend OCP Policy KS 17-1 and Development Standards DevStd. KS 17-2;
KS 17-3; and, KS 17-6 to allow greater flexibility in site design. In addition, the applicant is requesting to add a new development
standard (Dev Std KS 17-7) to provide guidance in the architectural style and character of future development on Key Site 17. Lastly,
the applicant is proposing new parking, building height and coverage requirements to the Key Site 17 development standards.

Status
The project requires preparation of an Environmental Impact Report (EIR). A Notice of Preparation and Scoping paper have been prepared. A public scoping hearing has been scheduled on January 7, 2010. The scoping hearing will be held at 4:30 p.m. at the Public Works Conference Room located at 620 West Foster Road in Santa Maria (Map). Schedule
