Agricultural Permits

"Streamline the process for typical agricultural activities and projects."

Staff and the Oversight Committee are working with the Agricultural Advisory Committee and Agricultural Commissioner's office to streamline the process for farmers.  These efforts include:

Streamlined Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) process.

Shift some minor agricultural activities and projects to a Zoning Clearance rather than requiring a Land Use Permit with its noticing requirements and opportunity for appeal.

Development Plan Approval - Consider modifying the Development Plan ordinance that requires an approval by the Planning Commission for any structure that exceeds 20,000 square feet (all structures on the parcel are considered as part of that calculation).
